I’ve moved back to Blogger. XD

As most of you probably don’t know, I’m in a couple of silly fanlistings, like the ones for bacon, Pocky, and the ambiguous Japanese drink Calpis. That was thanks to a jpop-fueled fanlist-joining rampage I went on a few months ago. (Don’t ask.)

But if you think those three are weird, trust me–there are much, much weirder. Here are some of the more baffling ones that I found on TheFanlistings.org. Yes, these really exist. But don’t ask me why.

It’s no secret that I’ve become a big fan of Johnny’s Jr. groups recently. But my current favorite, the band Question?, is a lot different from the rest of the pack. For one thing, none of them is jailbait. And they don’t dance.

Now, while this should be enough to set them apart from the rest of the Jrs.–who are generally associated with flamboyant interpretive choreography, boppy songs laden with Engrish (“So glooming night, glooming night…“), and cute but unsettlingly underaged boys–musically, they’re pretty different too. Instead of dancing, they play their own instruments, and have a noticeably more mature sound compared to the other groups. Check out some of their songs: “Beautiful Mind” and “Naked“, a collaboration with ABC (the Johnny’s Jr. group responsible for the Engrish metioned earlier). EDIT: I can’t believe I forgot to put up a link to my favorite song of theirs: Head Banging Boogie. I swear, give it a listen. It’s an antidepressant. XD

They sound pretty good and I think will only get better as they mature. But since being cute is pretty much mandatory in Johnny’s Jr., the Question? boys aren’t lacking in the looks department, either.

The group comprises: Yonemura Daijiro (23) on guitar and vocals, Ishigaki Daisuke (22) on keyboard and vocals, Yodogawa Yoshihiro (24) on drums and vocals, Fujie Kazuyori (23) on bass, and Igo Akun (20) on lead guitar. See? No minors. :P

Fans of the anime Naruto Shippuuden might recognize one of their songs, “Mezamero! Yasei”, which they did in collaboration with Kondo Masahiko forming the temporary unit MATCHY with QUESTION?. (I believe there is also a version of this song performed by the band alone.)

I was so hopelessly intrigued about how the line “I drink your milkshake” would make it into a serious movie set in the early 20th century, I had to see it for myself. So I went and got the DVD–and I’m so glad I did. There Will Be Blood is definitely one of the most compelling and surreal movies I’ve seen in a while.

But since insightful reviews aren’t really my specialty, here instead are my top five favorite–and by that I mean most exploitable–lines from the movie. It’s just got so many winning quotes just asking to be photoshopped onto lolcats and other pics. So if you’re planning on renting or buying the DVD, make sure you watch out for these gems:

And of course:

Haha. The above lolcats were painstakingly ’shopped by me. I don’t mind anyone else using them, just don’t direct link. Credit would be nice too. XD

I don’t think I can even call this a first entry. I’ve already had several blogs, and even now I’ve still got another one (or two?) up and running. What’s another one for? Well for what it’s worth I guess we can call this my non-drama blog. Stuff I found on the series of tubes, amusing things, geeky things, random things. (And yes, fangirl things.)

I’ll serve up a nice helping of links, images, videos, and all manner of in-ur-base goodness, and try my bestest to keep the entries that go “waah” to a bare minimum (or at least relegate those to my LiveJournal. Ahaha). If you’re interested, I’ll soon scatter breadcrumbs to where you can keep updated on my current mood and my the state of my lulz/whine equilibrium. Whatever.

The header (this first one at least) features News’ Tegoshi Yuya doing… ok I don’t know what the hell he’s doing. I was planning on using that photo of the whole band with their pants off but I couldn’t find a way to make the image fit. But don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll find some excuse to post that photo here soon. I’m classy that way.
